Biography
Haley is a graduate student at Capella University, pursuing a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with an anticipated graduation date in March 2026. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Marist University, where her interest in mental health first took root. Although her fascination with psychology began in high school, it was her undergraduate coursework, particularly in abnormal psychology, that inspired her to pursue a career as a counselor.
Before beginning her graduate studies, Haley spent two years working as a direct support professional, providing individualized care to people with intellectual disabilities. This hands-on experience not only strengthened her understanding of applied behavioral analysis but also deepened her commitment to making a meaningful difference in others’ lives.
From a young age, Haley has identified as an empath, feeling a strong calling to help others and create spaces where people feel safe, understood, and supported. As a counselor-in-training, she strives to offer a warm, welcoming, and nonjudgmental environment where clients can work through life’s challenges at their own pace. Haley believes in meeting clients where they are and walking beside them with empathy and authenticity every step of the way.
